Triumph Over Phobia (Jersey)

TOP (Triumph Over Phobia) Jersey was set up in 1992 by Celia Scott Warren. It is affiliated to the national charity Triumph Over Phobia (TOP) UK.

We are dedicated to helping sufferers of phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related conditions. We run weekly self-help meetings and a telephone help line 07797-757895.

Our self-help therapy group has enabled many people to overcome their fears.

Professor Isaac Marks MD, FRCPsych
Underpinning the work of TOP UK is the research carried out by the world-renowned psychiatrist Professor Isaac Marks. His book, Living with Fear, is the self help manual used by TOP UK group members and is invaluable in helping sufferers of phobia and OCD to help themselves to get better. This self-help book, first published in 1973, is the only one we know of which was tested in a randomised controlled clinical trial and proved to be effective.
Dr Lynne Drummond MBChB, MRCP, FRCPsych
Dr Lynne Drummond is Consultant Psychiatrist and Senior Lecturer at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust and St George’s, University of London. She is in charge of the National Service for OCD/BDD which offers both inpatient and intensive home-based and outreach treatments. In addition she runs a local service for OCD/BDD and other severe anxiety disorders in the 5 London Boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth. She has worked in the area of OCD and anxiety disorders for over 25 years and has published numerous articles in the area.
Professor Paul Salkovskis
Professor Paul Salkovskis is a Senior Research Fellow at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford; Programme Director for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training and Research; and Director of the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre and an Honorary Professor at the University of Bath. Professor Salkovskis has extensive links with other researchers and resources which allow access to participants for the research, most of which is focused on the application of cognitive theories. He also has international collaborations with a range of other research centres, including Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Morocco and the United States.

Make a donation

Please use the 'Make a Donation' section of the TOP (Triumph over Phobia) page on the Assocation of Jersey Charities website to donate to our charity. All of our staff are unpaid volunteers so funds raised are used for running costs (telephone etc.) and training.

When shopping at any Channel Islands Co-operative Society store, please quote 104 as your share number to donate to TOP Jersey. This does not affect what you pay for your goods.
